After Memorial Day in the Park

Memorial Day Party in the Park brought together unhoused community members and neighborhood residents for a day of connection, support and celebration.  Attendees enjoyed a free BBQ, music, games, giveaways and family friendly activities in a welcoming and inclusive way.  Throughout the event, participants received HIV/AIDS and sexual health education, prevention resources, and safer-sex supplies including condoms.  Outreach staff were available to share information, answer questions and connect individuals with local health and support services including services offered by AHF.  The event fostered community engagement, promoted healh awareness, and created a fun, supportive space where everyone could come together to honor Memorial Day.  Guest also had the opportunity to receive free clothing and other donated items provided by Out of the Closet Thrift Store, along with swag and community resources.  It was an amazing day.
