Baltimore Safe Haven is Maryland’s first and only community-based health and housing organization developed by and for transgender people living in survival mode.
Baltimore Safe Haven operates the only transitional and emergency housing program for transgender youth and young adults in Maryland.
Their free drop-in health and wellness center, overnight mobile outreach operation, civic engagement work and incarcerated siblings program enables us to meet community directly where they are. Their work has been featured in local and national publications, including TIMEMagazine, The Advocate, WashingtonBlade, OUT Magazine, MSN, Okay player, Baltimore Magazine and Business EqualityMagazine.
